The Hidden fort city of Madhya Pradesh [Awe-inspiring ORCHHA]

20151002_124807
Do you see the sun? It almost killed me :/

Grilled and ready to be served- we were like mobile meat walking at 118°F under the brutal heat, zombified and mutated by the royal sun. I am starting this article with an introduction to ORCHHA’S weather because it wasn’t pleasant in the month of September, and because weather is a matter of utmost importance while traveling anywhere in India. [Best time to visit ORCHHA, heads down- November to March] Continue reading The Hidden fort city of Madhya Pradesh [Awe-inspiring ORCHHA]

7 Types of Jerks you’ll come across while travelling in India

Like who wouldn’t love India? No seriously am asking you’ll.

A perfect mélange of hypnotic culture coupled with COLORS, SO MANY COLORS and topped with a million smiling faces. The snow clad mountains, the Yoga & Ayurveda, the golden beaches, the royal tigers, the abundance of green, the antiquity of temples, the fascinating mythology – (Please make me Stop!), the notorious monkeys, the street food, (SERIOUSLY STOPP!), the colossus elephants, the rhythmic rivers, the rowdy transportation and What Not(PHEWW! Like a whole new level of crazy).

Experiences speak louder than research and every word I write is based on my personal experiences around India, specially around my favorite Indian state- “UTTRAKHAND
Like every Delhi-based professional (or an incompetent sloth bear like me), the million dollar question is- How to survive the weekend? How to beat the killer heat? How to make your Saturday worthwhile? How to run away from the social bunch of obnoxious morons and escape into the Himalayas? (well, I know you secretly ask that too :-p) Continue reading Figuring out a way to escape Delhi this weekend and experience some serious cultural shock? – Join us to Tarkehwar Mahadev Temple trek- Lansdowne

CHOPTA-TUNGNATH TREK : "Routing, Distance, Timing, Planning, Pocket, People and HIMALAYAS"

My personal account of TUNGNATH trek: Everything you need to know.
Rhododendron – just as hard as they are to pronounce, these mountain flowers are worth rambling for.

“What are men to rocks and mountains?”- Jane Austin in her book Pride and Prejudice.

Something to seriously ponder upon, isn’t it? What are we to the massive mountains, to the silent streams flowing down the gigantic hills, to the valleys and lakes, to the colossus trees and lush forests? I wouldn’t go deep into my own thoughts and ramble about them here, for this is a travelers’ platform and each one of us in our state of desultory, has extensively spent time in an endless array of thoughts. Stroling on the banks of Ganga- An evening in RISHIKESH

Excitement- Exhilaration, elation, enthusiasm, eagerness, emotion, anticipation, intensity, Zeal, -All synonyms for the same word and having felt them all at the same time, made this weekend- The Best

We left home at 8PM on Friday, after I vomited my stomach out for 2 hours, due to minor food poisoning caused by a dreadful pizza I inadvertently picked on my way back home from office. I will spare you the ugly details and start from the point when my sister literally dragged me to a metro station and we boarded the 8:30 train towards VISHWAVIDHYALA. Well, there were fatal repercussions, but I just can’t bring myself to bail on my weekend plans, just can’t, and no amount of vomits or blinding stomachaches can stop me!!(also I already paid for the hotel and the buffet wasn’t complimentary).

TIPS AND TRICKS OF SOLO TRAVELLING IN INDIA

I dint take a deep breath, I dint sigh! Gone are the days when travelling alone shook a bone or two in our squashy skeleton. Time has changed for better, and for everybody. Few of us who rise up to the challenge and reap the benefits of change, get a consolation certificate from life, saying Crazy Experiences and believe me when I say, “Crazy Experiences” will stand TALL right next to your highest degree or favorite trophy and you’ll spend a life time being proud of it.

MY LUXURIOUSLY BUDGETED GOA TRIP- 23$ a day

MY LUXURIOUSLY BUDGETED GOA TRIP- 23$ a day

I understand the contradiction in the TITLE, but there is no other word, better suited to my absolutely delightful Trip to Goa. No, it ISN’T my “survival in Goa under 5 dollar” travelogue, our’s was a laid-back, lazy trip, with luxury, leisure and lots of beer. It was wonderful, and I would climb up my office cubicle and shout at the top of my lungs, “IT WAS WONDERFULLL” if there were less people in here( but you understand the emotion, right? :P)
